We're a North-West based team of staging, refurbishment and restoration specialists who work with homeowners, landlords and property investors to turn under-performing properties into high-value assets. We started Novastar Homes as the solution to a common problem - property owners with real potential in their hands and no one offering a straight answer about how to unlock it.

A two bedroom property in Wigan, Lancashire was generating £495.00 per month as a standard rental. We carried out a full refurbishment and staged it for the serviced accommodation market - It became the highest-rated serviced accomodation property in the town and now generates £2,700.00 per month. Our bronze refurbishment gets the Novastar cosmetic uplift without the need for more moderate work such as replacement flooring. Typical work could include paintwork, decoration, re-configuration, repairs and fixture replacement prior to staging.
A Silver Refurb would be the industry standard for a full redecoration of a property. This could include full paintwork throughout, replacement flooring, refresh & partial upgrades to kitchen and bathroom, fixture upgrades and light electrical work prior to staging. All upgrades are budget dependent with a standard 10% contingency.
Our aim is to maximise a property as cost effectively as possible. As such, we do not grade our refurbishments according to the standard of the work on any given property. The varying levels of upgrade are simply budget dependent. If you have a larger budget available, we have a wider scope to work in and more opportunity to choose quality where it matters. As staging largely works within a ROI framework, the more you put in the more likely you are to make significant gains at closing offer.

If your property requires full refurbishment prior to its re-configuration to an accommodation setting, our 360 series is your hands-off problem solver. From plastering to the final (permanent) furniture installation, we offer a complete 360 service from dusty floors to rave reviews for your new popular guest spot.
Do you really need a replacement? Our expert cosmetic repair technicians can deal with many hard surface repair and restoration jobs from worktops and floors to bathtubs and doors, leaving many clients pleasantly surprised and even shocked at the results. To ensure the best value for our clients, rates can vary from half-day and full-day rates to price per job rates for either smaller jobs or jobs with less than 3 repairs.
Do you really need a replacement? Often, cosmetic repair technicians can only deal with surface level hard surface repairs leaving you with no option but to go ahead with full replacement. Our expert team also deals with deeper structural repair jobs, offering a much wider array of skills on each job allowing us to offer significant savings to our clients.
Whilst we routinely refurbish furniture during period and older property restorations, we also offer this as a stand alone service for clients with fine period furniture or for those who may have inherited an heirloom. We have a dedicated team of experienced restorers ready to take on almost any project.
